In this 12-minute video, I discuss the new Omega Speedmaster Silver Snoopy Award, but also show the previous Snoopy Award watches from 2003 and 2015. Also, the Apollo 13 25th anniversary edition gets a mention, as that one was really the first to commemorate this special Apollo mission in 1970.
The comments and feedback on the new Omega Speedmaster Silver Snoopy Award have been pretty amazing (see our initial review here). As such, it's time for us to talk you through all Speedmaster Snoopy watches that have been out there since 2003.
Omega Speedmaster Snoopy EditionsAfter seeing the new Speedmaster Snoopy in the flesh, it immediately became my favorite of the three. Based on the comments on our previous articles and on social media, the enthusiasts love this new Speedmaster Snoopy. But, it also seemed that many still prefer the Silver Snoopy Award edition from 2015. I wrote an in-depth analysis recently on why the love is so strong for that edition. I own the 2003 and 2015 Speedmaster Snoopy watches, and I have ordered the new one as well. Having them all three in front of me (the new Speedmaster Snoopy 50th anniversary being a prototype for review), my pick is the latest.
BlueAnother very commonly asked question is about the color. "How blue is that blue??and how does it compare to the blue CK2998 edition from a few years ago? Although we don't have a blue CK2998 in our possession, we did put the Snoopy side-by-side to a CK2998 (from a collector and friend of the show). It seems the blue of the Omega Speedmaster Snoopy 50th anniversary is a bit of a lighter blue.
And also, the blue of the new Omega Speedmaster Snoopy watch responds more to light circumstances. It can look very light blue at times, and almost turn to black as well.

However, we've been informed that the delivery to all markets will start in Q1 2021. In the video, I mentioned a price of ?,500 for the new Speedmaster Silver Snoopy Award reference 310.32.42.50.02.001. That, however, depends on the county you're in. The Swiss price is CHF 8,900 excluding VAT.
